Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our driver will be waiting to warmly welcome you to Kenya. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi where you can relax and recover from your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the rest of the day at leisure to unwind or take a short walk nearby before dinner.

Day 2: Nairobi National Park & David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

After breakfast, your adventure begins with a visit to Nairobi National Park, the only national park in the world located within a capital city. Here, you can spot lions, giraffes, rhinos, and many other species roaming against the backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline. In the afternoon, you’ll head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where orphaned baby elephants are cared for until they can be reintroduced into the wild. Watching them play in the mud and feed from giant milk bottles is an unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum & Nairobi Safari Walk

Today, you’ll visit the Giraffe Centre, home to the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. You’ll get to feed them and even feel the gentle brush of their long tongues. Next, step back in time at the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the famous Danish author of Out of Africa. In the afternoon, enjoy the Nairobi Safari Walk, a beautifully designed boardwalk experience showcasing Kenya’s diverse habitats and wildlife in a relaxed setting.

Day 4: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

You’ll leave Nairobi after breakfast and head towards Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its pink-hued shores once famous for large flocks of flamingos. The park is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild’s giraffes. Enjoy a game drive through acacia woodlands and along the lakeshore, keeping an eye out for lions, leopards, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 5: Maasai Mara via Maasai Village

After breakfast, you’ll journey towards the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. On the way, stop at a Maasai village to experience the vibrant culture of the Maasai people — from their colorful beadwork to traditional dances. By midday, you’ll arrive at your camp or lodge, have lunch, and then set out for an afternoon game drive to spot the first of the Mara’s incredible wildlife.

Day 6: Full Day in Maasai Mara

Spend the whole day exploring the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. The Mara is home to the legendary Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. If you’re visiting between July and October, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration, when over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross from the Serengeti into the Mara in search of fresh grazing. The drama at the river crossings is truly unforgettable.

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha

This morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by beautiful scenery and rich birdlife. After checking into your resort and having lunch, take a boat ride across the lake to spot hippos wallowing in the shallows and fish eagles swooping overhead. The calm waters and lush surroundings make for a peaceful afternoon.

Day 8: Journey to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, set off for Samburu National Reserve, located in Kenya’s rugged northern region. Samburu is unique for its dry, dramatic landscape and wildlife not found in the southern parks, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk (also known as the giraffe gazelle). On arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge or camp before an afternoon game drive, watching the sun dip behind the hills.

Day 9: Full Day in Samburu

Spend a full day exploring Samburu’s striking terrain, where the Ewaso Ng’iro River winds its way through the reserve, attracting elephants, crocodiles, and an abundance of bird species. Your experienced guide will help you track the “Samburu Special Five” — Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and beisa oryx. The combination of rare wildlife and breathtaking scenery makes Samburu truly special.

Day 10: Flight to Nairobi & Departure

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight home. As your Kenyan adventure comes to an end, you’ll leave with lasting memories of diverse landscapes, incredible wildlife, and warm hospitality.
