After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a world-renowned elephant orphanage located within Nairobi. Established in 1977 by Dame Daphne Sheldrick in memory of her husband David, the trust has played a vital role in rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants from across Kenya. During your visit (usually between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm), you'll have the rare opportunity to watch the young elephants during their feeding and playful mud bath — an experience that’s as heartwarming as it is unforgettable.
After this inspiring encounter, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch in a quiet, scenic spot before heading out for an afternoon game drive in Nairobi National Park.
Just a short drive from elephant orphanage, this park offers an incredible blend of urban and wild. It’s home to a wide range of animals including lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, buffaloes, and over 400 bird species — all roaming freely with the Nairobi skyline in the background. It’s a surreal and unique safari experience that captures the spirit of Kenya in a single afternoon.
